A message from Dr. László Bódi following a Christian business event in Orlando
PUBLISHED April 26, 2026
We are living in a world where change is constant, often overwhelming, and increasingly difficult to navigate. Uncertainty seems to be the norm—and if we rely solely on mainstream narratives, it becomes clear that much of what we hear can be misleading or distorted.
For a Christian executive—someone striving to live with faith in Christ and remain on the narrow path—the greatest source of hope is the Word of God. It offers guidance, clarity, and truth, teaching us the following:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
Proverbs 3:5-10
As the owner of our international sales team—and serving simultaneously as its global sales strategist—I’ve been increasingly intentional about placing our work into the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting Him to guide our path.
Since 2016, we have represented our clients by selling their products and services in international markets on their behalf. Our current team of eleven sales experts began by building strong traction in Germany, and last year we felt led to expand onto a new path—entering the Benelux market alongside our German operations. We view it as a blessing from God that, through the client relationships we establish and develop, we are able to generate approximately €3.5 million in annual revenue for those we represent.
In the course of my work, I’m often reminded of Bulcsú, a Hungarian military commander I personally regard as a historical role model. Through his campaigns across Europe in the 10th century, he supported the rulers of his time with strategic precision and effectiveness. For those less familiar with Hungarian history, it’s often noted that elements of his military strategy are still studied and applied in institutions such as United States military academies.
In a sense, what we do today can be seen as a modern-day parallel—operating as an external international sales force, entering new markets and building relationships. But the foundation is entirely different. Our approach is not built on force, manipulation, deception, domination, or exploitation. Instead, it is grounded in mutual respect, genuine care for others, and a commitment to global collaboration. This reflects the teaching of Christ, who calls us to a higher standard of conduct:
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Matthew 5:43-48
Our international sales team lives out this very principle in practice. Each week, they engage in nearly 1,000 one-on-one phone conversations with companies across 13 of the world’s strongest economies. These are not scripted pitches—they are real dialogues. We ask questions, we listen carefully, and we seek to understand each company’s current needs, growth opportunities, and potential alignment with the clients we represent.
We approach these conversations as peers—colleagues speaking with decision-makers across a wide range of industries about the possibility of working together. Whether we are representing electrical services for one client, cybersecurity solutions for another, or AI-driven holographic systems for some of the world’s largest airports, our approach remains the same: we ask, and we listen.
Because in following Christ, we understand something fundamental—the goal is not to pressure, persuade, or “close” the client in the traditional sense. Instead, it is to build trust over time through consistent, meaningful conversations. To form genuine relationships. To understand the client’s needs deeply—and then leave the decision in their hands.
Four months ago, we launched our international sales publication, SALES MAGAZINE, in English. It gives us a monthly window into the economies, export trends, and key industries of the world’s 13 leading markets. Through it, we gain insight into developments such as Belgium’s chemical sector, China’s export dynamics, inflation across Europe, innovation in Japan, and tax policy in the United States—to name just a few.
At this point, I could take the typical route of a business influencer—highlighting how much we know, how sharp our market insights are, how well we understand global trends. But as a follower of Christ, standing in the overwhelming flood of data, I can say this honestly: we know nothing with certainty.
As I mentioned earlier, we live in a world where everything is constantly shifting, increasingly uncertain—and if we rely purely on mainstream narratives, often misleading.
And while the news may present multiple explanations, each claiming to be the truth, what we hear directly from professionals on the ground—colleagues working inside companies in Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, and beyond—is very different. Projects are slowing down. Companies are cautious. Many are waiting. More and more are talking about insolvency—or simply focusing on keeping their own teams employed. Opportunities for new partnerships are limited.
Of course, there are still functioning sectors. For example, rail infrastructure projects led by Deutsche Bahn continue to generate opportunities for us. The construction of German semiconductor plants by Siemens AG is another. There are also water treatment projects in Luxembourg, and solar installations powering high-end residential developments. And thankfully, there are more.
Yet, through all of this, the Holy Spirit has been pointing in a clear direction: we must strengthen markets beyond Europe. In my case, that means focusing on the United States in the coming months.
Last week, following the example of Christ, I stepped away from the noise—the crowds, the constant flow of information—to be still and pray. I found myself in Visegrád, sitting along the banks of the Danube River, in a quiet, secluded cove surrounded by brush. There, I spoke openly with the Lord. In the middle of that moment, my colleague Gyuszi called me.
“Laci, there’s an event being organized by the U.S Christian Chamber of Commerce in Orlando. I think you should be there.”
The answer came.
I didn’t yet know why—or how—but the path was becoming clear.
After a quick analysis, I found two additional events worth attending. And so I made the decision: I would spend nearly a month in the United States, building relationships that our international sales team could later leverage to support our clients’ success.
I left with a sense of anticipation. After last year’s market research business trips to Japan, India, and Spain—efforts largely built on secular frameworks and carried out in collaboration with Ministry of Foreign Affairs—this time was different.
This time, I chose to rely fully on Jesus Christ.
“Lord, trusting in You alone, I will go wherever You lead me.”
I shifted my trust and control away from human limitations—and placed it in the hands of the One who promises:
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.
Psalm 1:1-3
And I find myself thirsting more and more deeply for that living water—ever since that night in November 2014, when the Lord Jesus Christ revealed Himself to me and lifted me out of a life marked by sin, darkness, self-deception, and repeated failure.
That was the beginning of my awakening—a process that continues to this day. Step by step, He has been cutting away every decaying branch from my life—those very traits that have defined humanity since Adam and Eve turned away from God. The human condition: a created being struggling through earthly existence, often escaping into distractions to avoid silence, convincing itself of a false image of goodness, and, at times, placing itself in the position of God.
But that night, I was given grace.
Since then, I have increasingly sought stillness—the presence of Jesus Christ and His guidance. It is not an easy path, but it is a blessed one. Blessed because it leads you to places you could not have imagined, helps you understand what once seemed beyond reach, connects you with people you were meant to meet, and gives you a deep, inner peace.
A peace that makes you feel at home—anywhere in the world—resting in the presence of Jesus.
This is exactly what I experienced in Orlando over the past few days, at an event organized by the U.S. Christian Chamber of Commerce. It was a time of building new relationships, praying together, and strengthening one another in the Lord. Standing alongside my American Christian brothers and sisters, we reflected on the Word that says:
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
Romans 12:4-5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
